...for those who asked.... William Lopez Diaz, 89, of Pontiac, died at 2:08 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011, at ASTA Care Center, Pontiac. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, has charge of arrangements. The service is on what would have been his 90th birthday, Saturday the 23rd, at 11:00 at First United Methodist Church with visitation beforehand at 9:30.

I have not been on here for a while, haven't seen this til now...Jane & Bill, I am so very sorry for you losing him! I don't know what to say, but so glad for all the time you had with him. He lived a good long life!

How fortunate to have had such a special father, father in law and grandfather. Also to have had him for 90 years. Too many have lost their loved ones much too soon. Now you have many good memories to see you through the hard times. Bill

Rejoice in the memories and special places you shared. I always think of my grandpa, similarly to how Donna thinks of her mom; the DQ Dilly Bars, lime Kool Aid, riding our bikes, swimming in the pool, Pepsi in bottles, collecting cans, drinking from the Cup at Mass (grandpa let me sneak the wine at mass, even though I wasn't thru first communion!) He will always be with you in spirit. Sincere condolences.
