Has anyone applied graphics to those canvas side box trucks?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most of those are vinyl and not condusive to applied vinyl because they are rolled/folded when not in use.

Before he retired, Bushie Jon did them with silk screen ink.

Si is right.

I initially found vinyl creased and peeled off. Specialized vinyl paint, one shot etc eventually cracked off.


I found vinyl screen ink diluted with lacquer thinners, brushed or sprayed, bit into tents, curtains and banners.

Lost count of the tents I have done but we did 400 curtains for Queensland Railway wagons!

There is an 3M product exactly for this, and works fantastic. Avery has an equivalent - Signflex.

When peeled off the liner, it feels like there is no "tack" meaning no glue... but rather than use a normal mix of application fluid, it is a "hot" mix where one third is methylated spirits, this melts the glue.

You can roll or squish fold or bend to your little hearts content without it lifting, peeling, cracking etc. Just make sure the curtain is actually vinyl.
