So I was feeling a bit left-out as no reverends contacted me for a large banner order. Yesterday the reverend Raff Gibson emailed about a decal order for his under-construction orphanage & my payment terms.

I quoted him $35,000 CASH up front and asked when he'd like to meet in person.

Today he responded, cutting the size of the order and asked about accepting his credit card for payment in full. My response:

Your total price would be $3,410.50, pick-up only.

Due to the overwhelming amount of scumbag thieves who steal credit cards and attempt to defraud not only the sign shops, but also the credit card holders by placing large orders on the internet using the stolen credit cards, then have the order shipped through their own shipper to foreign countries, I can only accept credit cards in person, not over the phone or over the internet.

Would you like to set up an appointment to finalize and pay for this order?

If he responds to this one, I'll congratulate him on choosing decals for his scam as the banner scam has gotten old. I'll keep you posted.

What I can't get over is that obviously the good reverend is coming on here to get our email addresses. Why doesn't he look at these posts and say "Gee I think they are catching on, maybe I'll move on."

I just got an email from a Capt. Michael Hagee, a Marine in Iraq, who is asking me to help him get 10 million out of the country. Assured me there is nothing illegal or hokey or stolen.
Gave an email address of:
capt.michaelhageeusmc022@live.com
for more details.

Anyone heard this one before? Want to pursue it?

That really hacks me off!!!! that some SOB would use our Marines, or any other American institution to try to rip people off.

We need to snag him up, stake him to the ground, and work out on him with Xacto knives and pounce wheels (the big ones) like OP uses. Then force him to drink some old-stock One-Shot, about a quart should do it.

Dale, got that same email. He even used a legit link to a bbc article saying that a few marines were under investigation for possibly stealing some money found in one of Saddams palaces.

Deri, it's not just us. I googled the reverend's name and found he was trying to order 45 very specific locks for his 'under-construction' orphanage.

Screw the sign business, apparently orphanages are some money makers if they have the money to order all this stuff. Where do I apply?? [Wink]

Ha ha, Kissy, I finally emailed the guy wanting to buy banners with a credit card (see my other thread) and asked where his "business" was located, and I was told it was currently "under construction".

I emailed the guy back and said, "My B.S. meter is in the red zone so I'm going to pass on this job".

I get a new email from him today which is a duplicate of the first one he sent out, so essentially he's starting over from scratch... [I Don t Know]
