David, Obviously you've been communcating the wrong message to your grandson. I believe its time you came to the Router Magic Workshop to get a refresher course...
Whenever Phoebe and I go to the shop its 'WORK' we are doing. She 'WORKS' hard when she helps me 'WORKING'. We even make the approapriate grunting noises when we are doing something 'HARD' or 'HEAVY'.
You have to CONSTANTLY reinforce that important message... it may well be fun... but it is WORK!!!!
Its a TOUGH JOB but somebody has to do it in Yarrow...

In all actuality and to add some semblence of philosophical sobriety in order to actually say what has only been implied thus far in case some newby 'head somehow may not quite 'get it' yet . . .

When you're doin' what you love and what you're 'called' to do, it's hard to think of it as 'work'. It's FUN! AND you get paid for havin' it!!! Since we have to earn a living on this planet, what better possible situation could anyone have . . . doin' wha'chu you love and lovin' wha'chu do!!!
Thankfully, that kid will probably never be stuck in a run-of-the-mill-rut job!!

A short time ago, someone asked me how long I had been in the sign business. I replied "48 years", and was asked why I had been at it so long. I replied, that I think 99% of any job is finding something that you love to do and get someone to pay you for doing it. I truly love this crazy business, it has been good to me and I hope that I have been good to it. Mostly havin' fun in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, can't beat those sunsets!

Its so funny how our kids & grandkids think we have a gravy job. But, who do they call in the middle of the day when they need something, (ie:spur of the moment babysitter, school lunch money delivery, etc) But, I wouldn't have it any other way.
I hope my grandson takes this over some day. Maybe it will free him up to do things that are more important
