Woke up to rain this morning in Minneapolis, but nothing will dampen our spirit! The walls are well under way, and once this rain passes us, we'll be out 'doggin!

Just sitting here listening to bird song and rain. In a few minutes we will head over to the Walldog breakfast and be in the company of some great artist and fine friends again. There really is no way to explain the importance of this community of people dedicated to keeping our craft!!!!!!! On behalf of all Four Lanes I just want to say thank you! If you haven't checked out the photos and witticisms from Nico on our official blog site then I recommend book marking it in advance of Franko's magic show tonight!
Wish you were here! Dawn Lane From Carole's computer

Hey Rick! Yup! I was there doin' the deed! What a blast!!!! Bernie Lohemeyer put up lots of great picks. Check out the photos from him. Mine was the Sport Beer mural with the pheasant flying off of it. GREAT FUN! Went back to my ol' homestead in MN. Hadn't been back in 20 years! I really loved it ALL! Sonny Franks was my "lackey" (his expression)...mine is he was my "right arm bodacious blues man"! We talked about you a lot. Were your ears burning?

Actually, the word was "flunkie" and I was honored to work with Judy. She occasionally gave me a beer break before cracking the whip again. We danced almost as much as we painted, thanks to some tunes donated by the REAL Bodacious Blues Man, Bill Diaz.
We're planning on re-creating some Walldog Magic next year in Pontiac. Anyone who hasn't been to one of these should put it on your calendar now......

OK..flunkie...I stand corrected. I'll come be your flunkie and help you paint white circles on a blue wall. Yuck. Actually, I'd put a teensy bit of blue in the final coat and it won't look like harsh white. But hey, are you gonna use Polar white or Lettering white? I've always heard that a gray primer is good to make the top coat clean at one coat. Haven't tried it yet, tho. Guess this should be on your other post, huh?
