A customer wants his sign made of "C Bond" I know a "DIBOND"....never heard of C Bond. What is it?

I use C-bond a lot, Wayne. In fact, I've been using the 3 mil good-one-side C-bond instead of .063 aluminum, since it is cheaper.
I really like it for the price.
It is actually Sign Supply USA's house brand of Dibond... I don't know who makes it for them. Look on page 52 of this catalog, and you'll see the prices. I've actually been paying about $43 a sheet from my Sign Supply here in Pensacola...

Ok, so, in order for this customer to be asking for this specifically, wouldn't you say that he has already consulted with another signshop?
And would you suspect that the "proof" he just emailed me, was very likely designed by that signshop?

Yeah, Wayne. What Ray said. If you don't know what it is, not a chance in the world Joe Blow would know without being told by another sign shop...
The design, however, looks like he came up with it using the word shapes in Microsoft Word.

You can do better than that design anyway. I don't like the way "Springs" curves away from the bottom border and the secondary copy. Go after it but suggest a better design if you get it.

When I told the guy that I didn't knwo what "C bond" was, I mentioned "Dibond". He just said "whatever is cheaper". So I figure, from past experience, that the chances of my getting this job are slim" I haven't quoted a price yet, so I thought I would try a little experiment. Is this being sneaky?

Well, sure enough, the guy called back. He was really interested in saving that 50 bucks. Seemed much friendlier and down to earth too. But then he didn't seem too willing to spend his time procuring the vector file from the main office. I won't get this job, (two 4x8's installed) because he is shopping for the lowest price. But I learned what I wanted to know. Come to find out, he's not shopping a design from some local shop; this is a corporate logo for a company based in Canada. Hey guys....I thought y'all Cannucks could design better than that???
