Yesterday afternoon I returned to work, after a sales meeting, and found Terry collapsed on the floor. He'd been overcome by heat.
He'd made his way to the front display room which is air conditioned. The he was all crumpled up on the floor with the chair turned over, a lampstand on his chest and the lamp on his head. I thought he was dead. Slowly he came around though. I've never seen a sicker looking fellow in my life.
I told him to take off a couple of days and see a doctor. He called this morning and said he's on his way to work.
I don't know what I'd do with him. Getting the work isn't the issue.

I've been working with Terry this morning and he seems OK but I'm suspecious there's somehting else going on. He never complains, so it's difficult to know if somehting in't right. It could be type 2 diabedies. He's been gaining weight and drinking lots of Dr.Peppers. I'll have to cary more of the burden about his health.
We had a long discussion this morning. It wouldn't hurt to get some blood work done. Thanks to all of you for your posts.
The good news is, once again I've found myself guilty of taking people for grantite and I'll try to no do that any more.
Joe

Oh Man Dr Pepper, it's really hard to get here and I absolutely love the stuff. They stopped selling cherry cola here also. Sometimes living in a small country is hard LOL! I hope your worker accepts your help but definitely encourage him to drink lots of water

Hey Joe, all the best to Terry. If Ray was really concerned he'd send down his brinks truck with a few bags of money so you could put air conditioning in the rest of your shop.
Edit: Should things cool down a bit by mid September for the router workshop?

Thanks everyone for the concern about Terry.
I've moved him into the air conditioned display room. Now he's doing fine. Now he's getting kind of spoiled
His blood sugars were in the good range so all is back to norman.
Thanks again,
Joe

I'd say that Terry is smarter than the average bear. What happens when he turns that gallon of paint over on the carpet?
I'll make sure that Mike doesn't see this - he'll want to start working in here with me where it's cool.
Just a suggestion for you to take or leave...when we are brushing little things like this, we pour up a small amount of paint in a soup can - doesn't dry out the whole gallon nearly as quickly. And paint doesn't build up around the lip of the can.
But then, you are a lot older than me and know a lot more, too.

Joe, glad to see him on his feet. My back shop gets up to 120 without the AC on so I just bite the bullet and cool it too so I can get my work done. Much easier on the OLD body.

Always good to hear the good news. My what beautiful work displayed, as I love the 3-D sign on the floor. Glad to hear the result is a positive one.
