Does anyone have any experience with these? Canvas? Muslin? What type of paints? I read you can use everyday latex if you thin it. Will it not crack if it is creased or folded?

Flat latex or acrylics work fine. All banners use to be on canvas. It comes precoated.

also if it's a big canvas and you need a core, lot of carpet stores will give you a core.

Yes, Kelly, I do. I recommend Canvas if you want a stiffer background, muslin if you want it to be "flow-y". The best paint I've used is Production Background paint...like Rosco Off Broadway paints. It will not crack or chip if the backdrop is rolled or folded. It's totally flat (so there's no glare from lights or flashes) and it's really color-saturated and rich. They make several other lines of paints too. Everything I've used of theirs I've liked.
