I've got a customer who wants a "dark walnut" stain on an exterior sign. I'll probably use a western red cedar sign blank (from Perfect Plank). I seem to recall that "SignLife" makes exterior stains suitable for this, but I don't know who sells it. Any suggestions?
Or, are there other exterior stain products that I could use? There will also be some painted lettering on the sign, so I need something that will accept either 1-shot or Ronan AquaCote.

I'd suggest you consider Sickens. I like their Log and Sideing stain but it may not be dark enough. They have several colors to choose from.
This stuff really works but it's stinkey going on.

I buy SignLife from Midwest Sign or N. Glantz. I haven't bought any in a while but I think they still advertise in SignCraft. Might try calling them and ask for the nearest distributor.
Edit: By the way, its good stuff. Always got at least 7 years out of it on redwood.

I forgot to check with Midwest! (I almost never buy anything from them, but we do have a branch near by). I'll check into the Cabots PRo series, too.
thanks everybody!
