Mazeppa News reports at 12:37 am suspects were found on the roof top of the corner building of Main and 1st Street. Mazeppa News Photographer Adam May of Lincoln, IL was in the vicinity during the raid. According to authorites, it looked like a Federal Offense was being committed by the culprits. They were told to FREZZE!
Captured on the roof were left Michael Clark 45 or over, (aka: Mountain MIke from the Over the Billboard Gang)Aledo IL. center FranCisco Vargas 40-50 somethin not sure, Fresno, CA. and the FX artist known in New Zealand as Elvis age unknown.
During the detainment the Mexican escaped down the wall on a rope. To no avail, in the photos you can see where Adam May on the roof tried to capture the shot as he scaled down the wall with a rope.

Later under a tent a block away where a Letterhead Jam was going on. Vargas was found by Officer Destro of the Mazeppa Metro Squad. Vargas stated "I wasn't on no rubber roof, I have been here watching Mr. Dale Manor paint this panel for the Mother of All Meets, conducted by Mr Mike Meyer" while placing his hand on the officer he stated "I am not a tagger" Mr. Manor of Menomonie, WI stated Vargas had been there watching him paint. Vargas was released due to lack of evidence.

If there is a need for witnesses to the strange goings-on I was there.... but I didn't see nothin' or at least I don't recall nothin'... [Smile]

There were many strange events going on in Mazeppa at all hours of the day and night. You had to be there! [Smile]
