OK I'm not a religous person but I do believe in God and the power of prayer - so I need yours. I just found out that my family has a genetic mutation for breast cancer. I'm getting tested this Friday but won't know the results until next month. This breast cancer has killed all the women that got the cancer in our family and if I do have it I'm facing some tough decisions. I'm praying the test is NEGATIVE and hope you will too. I'm not one to spread my personal stuff like this around so this post was hard for me but I REALLY appreciate the affect many people can have on one when they put their minds together. THANKS!

i hope the tests are negative of course! ..i did a 3 day 60 mile breast cancer walk a few years ago...it was very inspirational to see all the support. i walked a few hours with 2 sisters whose mom died at an early age and they were tested and had the gene..both have done the preventative surgery and reconstruction and were doing great. modern medicine has done wonders!

You are in our prayers. My wife Betty is a two time survivor, once at age 36 and again at age 45 and there is no history in her family. Thankfully it was caught early both times.
Hoping your test will turn out negative.
Thanks, Steve

Keep the faith! Try hard to not squander your strength with worry. I have not had a family history, but had to go through the tests and the wait - and it ended up being nothing. Just this morning I heard that the medications for breast cancer have improved and are saving many more lives than ever before, real break throughs are happening.
I send you healing light and prayer. There is nothing more powerful than communal prayer. So there!
