I have a customer looking to tint a portion of her windows. Does anyone know where I can get info about approx. 48" wide bronze window tint film? She has about 40' of window.

[Thanks]

Paula

MADICO has it.
But you will probably have to buy the whole roll.

Tey only sell it to resellers (hint)..

We use 3M, Lumar and Madico. If you contact 3M, they will point you in the direction of an authorized dealer in your area. I would say that Lumar and Madico are fine films and more cost effective, but 3M is the superior film IMHO.

The type of window tint we're looking for is similar to what you'd put on car windows. We have a customer who wants to tint out about 5'x 40' of storefront window. She's also looking for a bronze color to match the trim color. We'll install it ourselves.

I found one place that offers 60" wide film but I'm not sure if they carry it in the color she wants. I'm waiting for a call back from them.

Hi Mike I'm Lee's wife. We're making plans to come to Mazeppa this July. [Big Grin]

That is very interesting Del!

Paula - is the window an insulated unit? You need a solar controlled film for an insulated unit because of the solar absorption of the film. If the absorption percentage of the film is too high, it may blow the seal and/or crack the glass. Bronze happens to be a higher absorption color than say a solar silver would be.

We've used a fair amount of 35 bronze... it absorbs under what our distributor recommends....I had it on my own home with double insulated windows.... anyfilm that absorbs less than 42 percent or so so is ok on sealed units.... silver 20 reflects more than it absorbs....
