The May/June issue is a GREAT(back to the future) education for all newbies to read up on!
From the 100 year old carriage designs, that the Fisher Brothers(body by fisher)brought over to the automobile industry. To the "almost as old" Raymond Chapman's article on DESIGN/PASSION.
Great eye candy, and loads of books, videos, and CDs available in which to LEARN from!
My subscriptions to..Signs of the Times, Signcraft and A Magazine about Letterheads are one of the earlyest "tools" I have purchased for my use in this great craft of ours, with the Mahl Stick,Paint and Brush being the FIRST.
Anyone else?

Signcraft was one of the first things I subscribed too back in the early 90's, and is invaluable along with help at places like this one on the net. I stoppped Signs Of the Times but get AMAL and SignBusiness too
You are opened up to a whole new world....my only complaint is that, there should be a quality British based Sign magazine that showcases some of the great and varied talent in the UK, american publications do showcase some UK work, like the British AMAL, but most sign magazines from the UK are full of the usual digital drivel that we are all spoon fed today.

Good point Henry;Europe being the "Birthplace" of most/if not all of America's sign making process. For the Movable Type,Stain Glass,Gold Leaf, Canal Boat Designs,Glue chipping,etc.etc.etc
