Finished up my sign work load for this year a couple of weeks ago...I have 4 jobs waiting but all slated for next year...so being semi-retired with some time on my hands I sat down and decided to pull up an old unfinished twilight scene...it was one that I had entered "unfinished" on the "What Do Retired Sign Makers Do" post a while back...I decided to take it out of the arched frame it was in and make it into a rectangle with a darker sky so I could add some stars beginning to appear...the earliest and brightest star near the horizon in my sky at twilight is Venus...so I pictured it the brightest between the trees...then just for kicks...I decided to make up an unusual line of dark angluar rocks with some dramatic atomspheric lighting in the background woods...then those rocks and background woods evolved into a stream scene...then that scene evolved even further by adding some foreground trees on the right...as you can see the central rock formations and background woods remain basically the same in each composition...thought you guys might like to see how this scene evolved.

Beautiful! I'd love to watch a tutorial on how you do that on the computer.
