When this covid started and our work stopped, I was concerned. After nearly seven months of puttering, I have enjoyed a taste of retirement. Work is starting to come in and back up because I'm not jumping out of the relaxed mode. Twas nice to get a glimpse of the future though.

I agree with you Rick. It's been nice. The work started piling in and I learned that I just need to tell people 4 - 6 weeks lead time. If they don't want that then I'm not losing any sleep over losing the work. Hope I can maintain this cocky attitude when things slow down again. [Smile]

Long ago Dave and Robin McDonald taught me how they have a weekly meeting to do the planning for the next week, and we adopted a similar procedure. With a list of the jobs and the process to complete them and who will do what, we get far more accomplished than just doing what we feel like at the moment. We also get to feel like a team. I'm getting enough going on at the moment that it looks like time to resume the task of planning. I've never liked doing this, but I like the results.

Alicia, as far as I know, you work alone. When there are more than one, the planning becomes more necessary. If Megan is needing to coat a board to be lettered by me tomorrow, I need to cut it yesterday. We need to depend on each other to do our parts to keep things rolling. The wild darts still happen, but we can find where to put them and still find order.
