Rick Beisiegels 12 year old grand daughter was stricken with Guillian-barre Syndrome a few months ago. She has a long road ahead of her, with some intense therapy, along with just being able to come home. She has incurred a few setbacks along the way also.
Just thought I would put this out there and ask for some positive thoughts or some prayers for Kendall, her mom and dad and for all of the Beisiegel family.

She has been hospitalized since 3/31. She is 12 years old. My son & his wife have been by her side since the beginning. Saturday night she was rushed from the rehab hospital back to the ICU at DeVos Children's Hospital. She had an abscess pocket on her lungs causing her great breathing difficulty and spiking fever They drained 500 ml of fluid from her lungs. Hopefully, she will return to the rehab hospital in a couple weeks.

Some have asked how they can help since her parents cannot work right now. A friend of the family has set up a Go Fund Me page to assist with family expenses as well as modifications to the house to accommodate her new limitations.

Go Fund Me For Kendall

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers

Hello all

Good news! If all goes well, she leaves the ICU tomorrow, and will be at the rehabilitation hospital for the next 4-6 weeks. Hopefully she will be able to walk at least in some limited way.

All your continued thoughts and prayers have been appreciated. Thank you all! [Thanks]

That is really good to hear Rick, but I will continue the thoughts and prayers until you tell us she is home.

She left the ICU on Saturday, and took her first steps on Tuesday, right after they told her she was not ready for that.

She even used chopsticks yesterday which was impossible just a short time ago. Her dexterity is returning along with everything else.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers in our behalf.
