My 17 year old daughter has been going through some awful stuff the past several weeks involving other kids taking a unflattering photo, and circulating it around social media, which then led to lots of annonymous hateful emails- cyber bullying... this all came to boiling point this past sunday nite, as my daughter attempted suicide. Thank God we found her in time to save her. She is going to be ok physically, but emotionally and her mental state will take lots of healing. Our family is still reeling from everything- please keep us in prayers. Why is there so much hatred and evilness in our our young people to have no regard for anyone and seek to destroy with viciousness... my daughter has a bright future with plans and goals- only to be tempted to end everything in a moment of emotional turmoil. I know several here in Letterville has walked this same path, thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Michael, I've spoken to you a few times over the years about some Mac things, and you were always helpful. You have my prayers for your daughter and your family. These type of things are too prevalent, and we all need to know there is someone out there , or several that will listen, and help, and advise and pray.
Give your daughter a hug from all of us!

Thank you all- she is doing better, but it will be a long recovery. The police have been great about this and have already investigated some that were involved- hoping that all goes well. It just breaks my heart to know she is not the only victim of this senseless stuff- our police have had to create a cyber task force to deal with this type of crap.

Your poor girl, you tell her to ignore them people. She only has to put up with them a few more months and she is on her way. But those people who hurt her will always be sad inside. It makes them feel better about themselves if they can hurt someone,,,,,,anonymously. At the age of 11, my mother died. Wouldn't you know some of the boys in school would make fun of me! They would say things like, "Oh you're crying at your mother's grave, boo boo hoo hoo!" This was right in my face. But I didn't feel hurt, I just thought it was rude and very weird. Eventually the teasing went away, or it just changed into another way to make fun of me. But those people didn't mean anything to me. They are the ones with the problems, not me.

Michael, I'm sorry to hear about the problems your daughter is having to deal with. Children can be the most cruel. My best wishes for all of you.

Either turn off, or gather evidence and prosecute.

There is no middle ground.
