Today is the anniversary of loosing Rick Glawson, and a good day to remember his influence and contribution to us. He certainly inspired me and taught me and had a hunger and curiosity for the craft that drove many of us. He never lost his passion, and always remained a true friend whether talking sign stuff or personal experiences. He held tight with gratitude for God setting him free. I'm thankful for the times and memories.

I only knew him a little, but I called him up one time with a question and he spent way more time helping me than I ever expected.

Rick was a giant in just about every sense of the word. I don't know how many hours he carved out of his busy days to keep me from transforming expensive materials into expensive messes. He would ask, "OK, David. What have you gotten yourself into now?" ...and then he'd guide me through it. His loss left a big hole in the Letterhead family.

Again...stopping by and seeing this was a treat. I was believed to have had one of the last conversations with him after purchasing gobs of product on my very first conclave, to turn around and place a call Saturday morning during a meet at Fred Selfs because the shellac flakes were not dissolving properly...then to lose him Monday.

A cherished memory of both him and Ms Lola. I had never seen the story that Si posted. what a treat.
