I use VectorMagic to trace images occasionally. Up until several months ago, when I would download the vector file (eps) it would automatically open in Adobe Illustrator. Something happened, I don't know what (I think a Windows Update but not sure) but the download was changed and now goes directly to Signlab. This would be fine and more convenienct for me because I work in Signlab 9.1 all the time, but once the file reaches Signlab it will not let me work with it. Message on the screen says security device is not working -- insert the security device. The dongle works perfectly all other times with the exception of VectorMagic. Can anyone tell he how to correct this either in Signlab or how to send it directoy to Adobe Illustrator. VectorMagic does not give me an opportunity to send it to another program.
Thanks to whoever is able to help me.

I don't know if this will help but I recently ran into a similar problem. The problem was the file association. I'm on Windows 10 now and you have to go to Control Panel>Default Programs. From there pick the file extension, in your case .eps and tell it to open with Adobe Illustrator.
IIRC, in Windows 7, right click on the file and pick "Open With" and Adobe illustrator and there should be a check box to make it permanent.

I hope that helps.
