What's the story Neil?

It must be April 1 in Newfoundland. You guys have your own special clock and calendar. The sign world needs a perspective from "The Rock", so you can not go anywhere (Unless you come to Alberta). You'd feel right at home here "by".

Neil is talking about the group of people claiming that the rapture/end-times will be taking place tomorrow....

But we all know that the Good Book says that no one will know the hour.... it will come like a thief in the night.

Yes, I've given away all my belongings, sold my cars, cashed in my valuables, left the house unlocked and joined the church

It was just meant as a Joke, to Lighten up things, put a smile on your face, make you laugh, chuckle, whatever your beliefs are, it is still pretty funny.... tick tick tick...we now resume our regular programming.

These kinds of "prophesies" have been around since the dawn of man. This same person predicted a similar fate a few years ago. Todds assesment is correct. Even the Son didn't know the day or hour, (but this guy does right?) [I Don t Know] [Confused]

Rest assured that it will happen right on time. Many are even looking forward to it.

True Story...This brings to mind an incident that happened to me a few years back with an acquaintance of mine who was always trying to "save" my soul...actually he was a very likable guy who wouldn't get in your face as most fanatics do...he visited me at the hospital before surgery hoping to find me in a more receptive mood to his message...he stated that God had spoken to him in an audible voice giving him 3 major important points to tell the world in these last days...after conveying the first 2 points he paused and went into deep thought...turned out he couldn't remember the 3rd point...I jokingly responded that for such an important task God should have picked someone with a better memory.

We fished for brook trout in the Adirondack Mountains years ago and met an old native there who showed us remote streams to fish,He warned us that brook trout
are sometimes very difficult to catch...he said...
"boys....them brookies can be funny people..
I think Canadians are like brook trout....they are funny people.

I'll certainly take Mikes statements a compliment. We Canadians do have a sense of Humor.

Oh I get it, yes I heard that they were playing songs about it:

One was by the Doors, "this is the end...." the one in Apocolypse Now with Marlon Brando, one of my favorite somber movies.

Posted by Kelly Thorson (Member # 2958) on :

Neil - you spelled it wrong - we would have a sense of HUMOUR, being from Canada and all - eh?

According to Harold Camping, a California pastor and owner of Family Radio, a religious broadcasting network. He claims that his precise mathematical calculations, based on the date when God created the Earth, Jesus’ crucifixion, and other variables, revealed to him that May 21, 2011 is It: Judgment Day. These Biblical clues are so specific that Camping assures his flock not only of the date, but also of the time: around 6 p.m. This way they can be sure not to be in the bathroom when Jesus gets here.
Heres an Evangelist pastor with 70 million dollars and a radio station with 80 outlets around the world.

It seems only Rick Beisiegel and I are the only ones here who separate the father from the son

I wonder how many of you bought into this as well as in the past by buying generators for the Millennium in the year 2000

Atheists are throwing "after Rapture" parties to celebrate the departure of the religious – or at least Christians – from their midst.

I bought into it, didn't even bother flossing last night.

Gene...atheist are not throwing parties to celebrate the departure of Christians...they know that the Christians will still be here after 6:00am May 21, 2011...they are poking fun at religious idiots.

I really like your story Rusty (about forgetting the 3rd important point) that's a good one!

Well it's May 21, 8:25 in Minnesota, and we're all still here.

I think I'll have a beer, and go paint a sign.

(I hope all you Canadians and our Irishman are still with us - I like you guys!) [Group Hug]

Joey - I didn't buy a generator for Y2K.... I bought an AR-15 and 1000 rounds of ammo. :-)

Is it safe to come out from beneath the kitchen table yet.
I heard some loud popping outside last night, but the I figured out it's just the Victoria Day weekend fireworks.

Well the floor needed dusting under here anyway.

I heard a rumor that the four horses of the Apocalypse are under quarantine for EHV-1 and that's why the Rapture has been postponed
