thats the best Christmas present you can get besides the liver itself and a spectacular recovery which I pray is what happens.

My mother was on the kidney transplant list only 2 months when they called her in for her transplant back in 2000.

Yay!!!! I'm really happy for you Pat! One of our best friends recieved a new liver about a year ago and he is doing fantastic! It is so wonderful to see him enjoying life again!

Bizarre bit of trivia: Did you know that the liver can regenerate? You can donate 1/2 of your liver and it will regrow in the donor and in the recipient! Amazing!

Good luck to you Pat.

You gotta be on cloud nine! Great news.

Hey, if it's not too personal, I hadn't heard about your need till now....is it in bad taste to inquire what happened to the liver?

I thought the liver was a very tough, regenerative organ.

Again, congratulaltions on making the list. God bless.

Pat, that is wonderful news!

We can all help! As fate would have it, I heard a touching presentation on this very topic yesterday.

Doctors need to know immediately at death that your organs are to be donated. All to often this does not happen, and the organs are lost.

Make sure your next of kin, spouses, parents, children, all know that you want to donate your organs after your death.

And encourage all of them to do likewise.

In some states you can put your choice on your drivers license, or carry an organ donor card.

Let's all help Pat by spreading the word. Vic G
