Looking for the name of a screw or toggle that has a threaded head.
Basically, I am mounting a nice reception sign and am having trouble finding this hardware. It has a nickle/quarter sized chrome head that screws into the top of the mounting screw right after mounting leaving a nice decorative/clean appeal about it.

Thanks

You are looking for Berenson screwcaps. They are a manufacturer/distrubutor of furniture hardware based in Toronto (also have a facility in Buffalo N.Y.). I have been using them for years for exactly the type of project you described. They come in two different sizes, about 3/8" and 1" in diameter. Colours are chrome, brushed silver, shiney gold and brushed gold. They also sell all kinds of screws and bolts that have a female thread in the end for the screwcap to thread into. I am at home right now and don't have there phone number here. Do a Canada 411 search for Berenson in Toronto and I am sure you will come up with the number. They will send you a really neat catalog with all kinds of interesting furniture dodads in it.
