Jim,
We are the devleoper of SignTools for CorelDRAW. Below is some information.

The new version contains 30 specialty sign making tools and is compatible with CorelDRAW 7, 8, 9 and 10.

SignTools 3 is the first version to contain cutter plotter drivers to allow users to cut directly from CorelDRAW. You can now choose from 140 popular vinyl cutter models. The drivers are very accurate and it is not neccessary to place a hairline outline on objects to get the plotter to cut. You can design in full color, with or without outlines.

For the full list of cutters http://www.asigns.com/signtools_cutters.htm

SignTools 3 is now compatible with all language CorelDRAW's that use the English character set. So if you are using French, German, Dutch or Spanish CorelDRAW it will work. It is also compatible with Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP.

Old Paint,
That is strang that you say it screwed up your "Contour" tool in CorelDRAW 7, because SignTools calls the Contour function in Corel but doesn't actually change anything in Corel itself. The only thing that I can think is that you have the first release of Corel 7 and upon installation of the SignTools demo it run the CorelDRAW patch file first and this has affected the way the Contour tools works. The last release of Corel 7 was 7.467. I would be very interested in knowing the specifics of your problem so that I can get to the bottom of the problem.

iam runnin win 98A IE 5.++++corel 7.467 patch was in before i loaded you demo.....i sent email to you when it happened, was told that the contour in corel was bad to begin with...but i had used it prior to you demo and it worked fine, i got a virus and had to rebuild h/d. it works fine now....no sign tool demo in registry. demos do create problems....and i have been cutting from corel since 93 with version 3...........so iam no novice in the softwear/hardwear area.

Jim & Chris

I have used the Demo and was extremely impressed. If I didn't already have Omega I would be using the sign tools exclusively.

I had no such problems whatsoever in my trials.

Old Paint,
We have tested the SignTools demo version on Win 98 (Second Edition) with both Corel 7.323 and 7.467 and could not emulate your problem. The contours seem fine. Did you by any chance save the result. If so send attach it in an email. My email address is andrew@asigns.com

Rob,
Thank you for the kind words on SignTools 3. The demo is only a taste of what the full version can do.

We are so confident in the product that we will offer a full money back guarentee if anyone is not satisfied with it. The only requirement is that you purchase it directly from us, rather than from one of our distributors. We have many distributors and can't expect them to offer this type of deal.

Andrew,
Thanks for chiming in.....I have always heard on this thread about most everyone having and using Corel at one time or another. I myself have been using Corel since ver 3 and able to cut directly to my Roland cutter. The features you offer are exactly what a lot of people wish Corel had and more groomed for the sign industry. With your money back guarantee we can not go wrong but try it especially since it does most of what the very expensive systems at a fraction of the cost.

Thanks for your support.

Jim

Jim,
Thanks for the post. I've been looking at add on cutting programs for Corel for a while now and plan on purchasing one in the near future. I am using AnaGraph DesignArt and Insire to drive my plotters but do almost all of my graphic design and layout in Corel. Let us know what you think of SignTools after you use it for a while.

I was looking at a program called SmartCut Pro at www.smartdesigns.com before reading your post. It looks like the two programs are comparable in function but SignTools is a lot less money.
