Sometimes it seems like I'm not doing anything new, like I'm just doing the same design ideas and same skills and tools. The customers are happy. The work is quality. I'm just not feeling refreshed with creativity. These times seem seasonal. I'm waiting for this season to change. Isn't HOPE a wonderful gift?

The power of Letterhead/Walldog meets. Decompress, re-energize and move forward. I’m looking so forward to The Dalles in August.

I have moments of being excited about it and complications that might prevent me from being there. I sure miss my friends and many are hitting the age where those events don't seem reasonable any longer. We have a prospective new apprentice and that might be the determining factor. I always found joy and excitement training someone. Needing to convert accumulated skills and understanding into organized thoughts and words is my best teacher. Perhaps we'll see you there. Pete is encouraging.

Hey Rick. Feeling like you're needing some inspiration ? The good news is that the internet can be a very good resource, if you're willing to expand your horizons and look beyond the usual sign-related websites. If you are into antique style images, but still sign-related, there are some good images of circus wagons here:
https://bigtopparade.com/parade-wagons/?msclkid=34047564ba2911ecbf2a2ae45b4f1ce0

Also, if you do a google search for " antique stock certificates" you might find some of those images inspiring.

If you prefer to see what's really new, I'd recommend taking a look at "graphis annual" to see
where today's graphic designers are at, in terms of posters, packaging, logo designs, and illustration. These submissions are international so there are some fine examples from around the world.

Hope you find some of this to be stimulating.

Why do I get all those on-line offers to sell me Viagara, when the only thing hardening is my arteries ?

It's just human nature. We always want to do a better job than the last one. Make the design better, execute the job quicker and make more money per hour.
