Anyone ever tried to run a sheet(8.5 X 11") of vinyl through a color laser printer? I have a customer who wants some very small decals for a model car.

Depending on the colors needed for the decals, it's very easy to make waterslide decals with an inkjet printer. You print directly on the paper, let it dry well, then give it two coats of clear lacquer. I'm not sure if the paper works with a laser printer.

Decal paper is available in clear and white.

Like David, I found it easy to produce some small decals for a friend who needed them for a model boat he was building.

I used Avery brand clear shipping label sheets (8.5x11")

Printed them with an inkjet printer and then sprayed with clear lacquer.

The product I used was good for either laser or ink jet.

Worked perfectly.

I tried running a piece of vinyl through a laser copier about 15 years ago. The leading edge wadded up inside and was wrapped around one of the feed rollers. Took a while to clean it out of there, not sure I ever got all the adhesive.
Didn't try it again...lol
