Once again I am in need of some sandblast stencil. I cannot seem to get any Anchor from my supplier yet. I need enough to blast 2 - 24" x 48" pieces of polished granite. If any of you have any you can spare or have a source please let me know.
Thank you!

I recently bought some #116 from McLogan supply in San Diego. I use it for wood. I don't see why it wouldn't work on granite. What's interesting is it doesn't say Anchor anywhere on the packaging. The part # is 70065x. The Anchor I can't get is 70065. I don't know if this is actually made by Anchor or not, or if they are still having a production problem. It doesn't look the same as the other Anchor but it works just fine.

I had some failure with the stuff from McLogans and called Anchor and gave them the number from inside the tube and it was made for them by someone else and had a different adhesive. It had a silver adhesive rather than the clear. They are up and running again in a trial basis right now. Most anything will work on stone if it's polished.

I've tried to get Anchor myself and had to settle for Hartco for some recent jobs. For polished granite, I prefer the Hartco 900 series, regular grip. I've had issues with the high tack version leaving adhesive on the substrate after I pull the mask. The 900 is more pliable than their aqua colored product and I like the amount of tack on it better.
I had a phone conversation recently with a woman at Hartco who was very knowledgeable about her product and let me know what's going on with Anchor. She told me Anchor's warehouse got flooded and ruined their American stock. That's why you can't seem to find it anywhere. She also said Anchor is working on production and will get their product back in circulation in the coming months.
