I don't do any web graphics other than providing raster images of designs I have done so my customers can use them on the web. I have a customer who wants me to provide a PDF with vectors so it will look sharp on her website. I can provide that, but will it even work? Doesn't it have to be bitmaps? She seems to think it will work. I would like to know and don't want to give her a file that won't work.

Chuck...I am going to go way out on a limb and say "no", a vector image won't work on a web page.

After saying that, I am sure there might be folks who will say "yes" and I'll be very interested to hear how. [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

LOL...I knew someone would come up with an alternative answer...Thanks Glenn...

Tomorrow, I'll play around with a file in SVG format, upload it and see how it works/displays online.

(And yes, it is a serious thanks, Glenn. I always need new stuff to play around with and check out.)

Well, you learn something new every day. Thanks, Glenn. Actually It's been a few days since I've learned anything.

There are a lot of options for saving as SVG out of Illustrator. I'll just try it and see. It sounds like an ideal format.

I take that back. Last night I went to the first session of an advanced Photoshop class. I still remember some of it. layer masks are pretty cool. Not sure about Monday, though.
