Time for a new office printer. I'm leaning toward the Brother MFC 9340 cdw. It's a color laser all in one. I tested one by copying a color photo. The colors were about as good as a laser gets. It will definitely do the job for printing invoices, sketches and brochures. I've had it with ink jets, unless someone has an ink jet all in one to die for, but in reading reviews, there isn't a printer made that doesn't have a bunch of "DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK" comments in the reviews section.
So do you have one that puts out good color, doesn't go through ink or toner like crazy, and is reliable?

Sorry, Dave, I agree with your sentiments but I don't have any answers for you re the colour side of things, but we've always gone with Lexmark laser black & white printers.
Had several Lexmark Optra S 1855 printers- built to last forever, and the cheapest bulk toner per page I could find. (especially if you get toner via Fleabay) Currently have a Lexmark T430 which is much faster & still does halftones to make vellum positives for screen printing etc also.
(We did have a Lexmark colour laser printer- but it was seriously a waste of money. Love the black & whites though)

I have been using a HP 7210 all-in-one for now, twelve years without a glitch...other than it is HP and the ink is outrageous. Envelope printing is dicey at times and the eject the page mode sometimes throws the print out of the machine, entirely.
Am about top try the Brother they are now advertising with landscape printing, making them faster and the inks are supposedly cheaper????
Any thoughts?

I'm using an Epson work force WF-3540 with an external continuous ink system, works great no more replacing ink cartridges often at high dollars. Great photos and color quality.

we have 2 here...HP K850 office jet 13 x19 EPSON 4300 13 X 19 ALSO. the HP had a CIS ink bulk system which is wonderful. cause the carts for the HP are $38 each!!!! wonderful color, and i just replaced the printheads after 5 years.... the epson 4300 is the wifes and she does a lot of photos....still using the epson carts,(six carts, gives photos way more color) but they have a CIS bulk ink system for it when i want it. buying a new printer i would check with CIS FIRST to see which printer they have bulk ink conversions for. AS FOR SCANNERS i have a canon u565, and the wife has a microtec...that scans 35 mm and negatives.

OkiData color laser here. Had a problem years after buying it, called tech support & they had me up & running in 5 minutes without any hassle about how old it was. Ended up a connection came loose. I will only own machines that have 4 seperate colors.

Well I finally settled on a printer after much research. I almost went back to considering ink jet again, especially when I started reading on ink usage per page and that newer ink jet tech has brought the cost per page in line with laser. But then I remembered how much ink cleaning the heads chews up.
I eventually decided on the Brother MFC-9330 CDW, an all in one color laser. Whoever claims that color laser has poor quality, well I don't know what they expect, but I'll say the color quality of this machine is better than my Epson workforce 600. The color quality is better than I expected, way beyond what I need for sign proofs. Set up took a little time but went smoothly. I added wifi to my Mac by buying a USB wifi stick, added that and have the printer working from my Mac running Mac OS, Windows 7, and my HP laptop. So far, very happy.

I paid $346.99 through Amazon and I am a prime member so I got free freight. It only has starter toner cartridges in it but they are rated at 1000 pages so more toner will be in the mid distant future, but they aren't too bad at less than $80 a cartridge.
