I thot i'd begin another rant/topic. i am about to run out of Edge. (I just began my rant). I called three of my suppliers and they said (each) that they have never heard of it, just a minute... I don't see it listed in the catalog...I'll look under Chromatic...oh, no there is nothing like that. This whole thing said by a post Tacobell (actually more like Jack in the box) draftee who can only finger the computer pages. I finally got a screen supplier in LA to admit it was made..but they're out of it. Then I called Denco. They didn't have any but they were willing to order me some if i would take 6 quarts (or 4 gallons). Heck at this rate I might take a tank car and a hose.
The supply and condition of paint is bad enough. I have a quart of black that is like jello pudding. Is it over yet? Are we through? Can't someone make the stuff we need in small batches? if it helps, I do have air conditioning and power-steering. If you don't buy from Autozone you won't understand that. Hummm, what is Edge? As far as not being able to buy supplies, you ough try living up here. About 50% of the time when ordering vinyl, it has to be shipped from out of state. As for paint, good luck. Most of the supplies tell me that they have to buy such a large amount at a time, that they don't keep a lot of stuff "on the shelf". Personally, my own opinion, I think big box stores like FedEx, Kinkos, OfficeDepot are buying such large quanities of "Sign Supplies' that the manufactuors can't keep up. They all have added sign making to their list of services/products. I also feel that in time most people will be buying their quick, cheap signs from said places. And, you can do it all online. Just wait till Walmart gets into the sign marking market.

Hey Gerald, OneShot has discontinued Edge, Chromaflo 6000 is it's replacement. You can also use Penetrol which is also a flow enhancer for enamels this can be found at Home Depot. There are some others out there as well. It's amazing that we have to hunt for all this info and educate our suppliers. Since you're in the States you may want to order directly from One Shot. Last # I have for them is (773)646-2778. Cheers and happy painting

It was I who had Spraylat change 1-Shot's 6000 formula to Chromatic Chrom-a-flo. During a conversation with Tramp a couple years back he had some execs at Spraylat call me so I could give them examples of why the original 6000 was a failure. It seems even the execs read my website and BTW, Edge was also owned by Chromatic when Steve Berman had the company, I always believe Edge was liked by many left coasters yet never worked as well as chrom-a-flo ...
