What always bothers me is

How is government the know it all in advertising be it church or county / city / state or for that matter what people that live in community will respond to.

Then again what is the difference be it one message or a 1,000 messages on a LED sign a day, do people go crazy or have accidents because they saw the color red or blue or a letter & words change or it moved ... geeez they need to get real.

Signs in America are American made, American products mostly, support Americans for Americans.
Government needs to mind there own business.

I'll stop geez

My town had the same ordinance for decades. It took a company with deep pockets trying to resurrect the local mall to get Council to change it.

So why don't the Church have 1 command per week? As far as the inspector guy, I wouldn't be hanging around him during a lightning storm. I think there's something in the Bible about giving God's people any grief. Sumthing bout Plaques and Pestilence.

When I was growing up I remember people would always say, "It's a free country". People don't say it as much anymore because there are so many things we are not free to do.

My mind wanders. And that's not a good thing, 'cause it's too small to be out there alone.

I have to laugh...Here in our little town, a new digital display was installed along with a new town welcome sign.

Businesses are invited to advertise on the digital display board for "less than $10 a day"

Less than $300/month, possibly not a bad deal..if it worked.

The digital board has been blank for 3 weeks!?!?

Is it blank because nobody wants to spend $300/month? Is it blank because it doesn't work?

Is nobody awake that is involved and maybe drives by the display?

Or are they all asleep while heading to Tim Horton's for a coffee to wake up? (Insert Starbucks for our US friends)

Municipal government sucks in Canada too!!!

This is just another example of bureaucrats gone wild!

If it was a $49.00 flashing POS, that said "git yer car warshed here", that's one thing. A multi-mega-buck digital display should not even be considered in the same ballpark. The church has got to come out on top.

Too much damn gov'mint in our business AND our lives!!!!!!!!
