Is there a 'FTP site' which allows you to upload large files to share with clients, or sub-contractors?
What I would like to do is send a large file to an ftp server, and then send a link to the sub-contractor...... which he can click on and retrieve the large file I uploaded.
Any 'freebie' sites that are reliable and secure, or is there some sort of software/site program I can purchase for a yearly subscription? How does this work?

Wd a "file" include something like a folder with a lot of miscellaneous stuff in it -- text documents, jpegs, genealogy stuff (a software program and a gedcom file)?
I dont even know what a gedcom file is. A recently discovered long-lost cousin is sending me hers and I'm going to try and use it. So far I've traced my father's side of the family to somewhere in the hills of Eastern Tennessee. Great, huh? I might qualify as a Son of the Moonshine Wars.

Another vote here for Dropbox, we have all of our design files in a Dropbox folder, so everything is automatically backed up there, in addition we have an external drive set to auto update, so everything is backed up either on our drive or in the cloud.
