Back a few weeks ago i was working on a quote for the military and had to contact this company as they had already made existing plaques. I've never dealt with them before, Gemini has satisfied any needs for plaques.(I used Gemini for this quote as a matter of fact.

Called and left 2 messages for my sales rep (or so as I was told he was) no return call. I emailed him. No response. I lost bid to another sign guy but he needed install help and I obliged. He DID get his signs from Matthews and said he would never deal with them again.

From my experience of the install their products suck. He order duranodic bronze and they came bronze with what appears a silverish overspray on them. The plaques did look good though for 250# of metal. Overall Im glad I saw this first hand and up unitl a few weeks ago I had never heard of this company.

Do any of you deal with them I think I'm gonna pass

I have tried to deal with them because they show an interesting selection of products, but I've had the same experience as you. It's very difficult to get a return call or other info when requested. They must deal exclusively with large scale projects that have extended lead times. There methods don't work for me.

I've used them for many years with no problems.
Maybe it's another one of those cases where it dependes on who you inside rep is. Their regional manager has actually stopped in person a few times. And I'm not a big customer at all.

Bill are you pleased with the products? I was not impressed myself. Even the castings appeared shoddy

It must be the weather Bruce. The few times I have made contact with them I either spoke with a live person or they followed up right away.
Beyond that, I can not say anything positive or negative because I never won a project I quoted with their pricing.

I've always been happy with the product. Can't explain the different experience you had. I have done probably a couple dozen cast plaques with them over the years. I have one job that is a recognition plaque that gets a little cast name plate every year and they are fine.
