I was trying to open a very important CDR file the other night and it simply wouldn't go. The bakup wouldn't work either.
I could see the file was intact in the preview window, and I didn't recall having any problems with it when I last worked on it, so I tried something different.
I IMPORTed the CDR file into a NEW CDR window and everything came in intact.
I saved the file under a new name over onto a faster computer with more memory in case the massive size of the file was creating a problem on the slower computer and breathed a sigh of relief.
Some days it goes yer way, and some days it don't.
anyone had this problem and found this to be the solution?

The same thing happened to me a couple years ago and I used the same solution, but not before sweating more than a few bullets wondering if I was going to have to recreate the file.

I was starting to sweat too, David--literally!!! I've lost more than my share of CDR files over the years where this didn't work.
