Hey Jill, Just had to tell you . . . we TRIPLED our profit at the Boy Scout pancake breakfast!!!!!!!!!!! Must have been the signs! Thank you for your help. Last night, we shopped for 19 kids in need. What a great feeling. Have an excellent Christmas! Vickie
This was a woman who had called in September to ask the price of corosigns to replace their old ugly signs painted by the scouts. Yes, I gave them a fair deal. She was great to work with, let me do the designing, picked up and paid promptly too. Wasn't this nice of her to email me? Love....Jill

There you go, girl...doesn't that feel great?
Now, I wonder how other folks would feel if you mailed them something like that from time to time? It's a great boost to business to spend some time patting other people on the back. Folks like to be recognized for what they do...just like you do.
Yea, I know...I'm preaching again.

Its always great to get a nice note from a client who appreciates the work and takes the extra time to let you know.
I got two letters like that this year and I sure appreciated them.
Like Raymond says we also have to take the time to do it too.

I know how you feel Jill. I just did some channel letters and when done the owner brought in the final payment, told me how much he liked them and that he would recommend me to anyone else. I loved it. Sure makes it worth it?
ps. I was recommended to him from another customer that I had done other channel letters for.

Along the same line...just this morning a customer came by shortly after 8:00 and dropped off a box of do-nuts and a large coffee - just wanted to say thank you for the job he picked up yesterday.
Kind of makes your day. And you know that he will get some very special treatment the next time he steps through the door.
I think I'll drop off some do-nuts in the morning to some special folks.

A fellow that we sponsor who runs a marathon jet-boat came in yesterday with a box of chocolates for me and another box for the three fellows who also work here. He also bought in a girls in bikinis calendar for the lads and a hot-rod one for me! I thought he had repaid us enough when he took me for a run in his boat earlier this year. 92MPH on the water, what a treat!!
I am making some acid etched glasses for a customer of mine whose word of mouth has sent many people our way.
Xmas time is the perfect excuse to do all these types of things. Ahhhhh I've come over all xmasy!!

Thats Great Jill.. I love it when things like that happen they can really make your day/ week/ or longer seem a bit more worthwhile. I have found sometimes little things i do really tend to make the customers days too. We did some banners and about 50 coro signs for a local school that was having their annual electronics sale to raise money for the school. Bry and I made a point of going to the sale, to see how it was going. When our contact there saw us she ran up and gave me a great big hug, and was all excited that we came to show some support. She ended up introducing us to others that volunteer there and we actually ended up getting more customers because of that... Some times when we go the extra mile to show some support to our customers, it comes back to us ten fold..

I also got to give an estimate on a MURAL in Mars yesterday. I think he'll go for it, even though he nearly choked when I quoted it. He's a good client for a few years now, and he liked my suggestions. He'll let me know on Monday he says. Also quoted a redwood repaint (my fave) to a customer across the street from the mural guy, who sent me over there. One good customer can erase the bad taste from all the jagoffs. Love...Jill
