I was asked to make some signs for a place that sells rocks, the garden and yard kind, not the pet kind [Razz] . One of the ideas I had was this planter box picture. I realized that I could make a bunch of irregular lines next to each other, then use that as shading of sorts, in certain kinds of artwork.

The numbers give a little help explaining how to use it. You make the lines, and (Corel lingo) you combine them. Then, you draw a quick shape in the area you want the shading lines to be (1). The shape here is for the 'middle' rock. Then you trim it out of the lines-mass deal. What's interesting in Corel 8 is that after you trim it, there isn't a hole there, in the lines-mass. After it's trimmed, you'll have a shaped group of lines, as in (2). (1) is made yellow just so it would show up here. When I actually used it, it was just a bezier made shape, no color.

The questions:
This image is a jpg, but obviously, the original is a vector. I'm wondering, would it be possible make this as a free give away file in a forum like this? If so, how?

Maybe post it on a website, and make a link, how would one do that? Pretty complex? [I Don t Know] I know how to put a picture on a website, but again, that's just a jpg, and people can download those with a simple right click.

Thanks for any help.

Putting a file on a website is straightforward if you have access to a server, and a bit of web design software like Dreamweaver.

You make a page, put some text on it like <click here for James' file>, and select the text, and in the properties box, put the address of the file linked to that text, eg http://www.focalpoint.com/assets/downloadablefiles/wiggles.cdr

edited to add: and then you use ftp to upload it to a server.
