What brand of router bits do you like? I'm using them mostly to put a molded edge on my signs. Pine is my main wood and I hate sanding cross grain tears!!!!
How can pine dull a carbide bit?????
Thanks in advance.

I have Belin bits here (french). Crown is another.
We order most from Sally Hunt at ITC in the UK www.itc-ltd.co.uk give her a call she will always help out with advice and may even send you something to try.
It was Terry Colley that put me in touch and she supplies a large chunk of the UK and part of the European sign market.
The bits hold up really well, and they have a very broad range, and will tool to your needs.

Here is what we did before getting the inverse pin router where we could use steel bit/no bearings on shaped wood.
Hope this helps....oh...and I would suggest 3/8 shaft on 7000 rpm router with an adjustable 3/8 guide pin. Then there is ample stiffness for precision routing.
It works great when ya don't have the 14g's to lay down on the pin router....
