I've seen some here say they love it, so I decided I'd give it a try. Went to http://www.porterpaints.com/ and closest place according to them to get it is somewhere in Pittsburgh. This Porter stuff is from Ky.
Also found a Porter listed on a PPG website. Which is the right Porter?

You got the right one. It's spread all over around here too. I wanted to try it but I can't drive all over for a quart of paint.
Plus, when I went there and asked for a color chip book I was told it would be $40. Give me a break. I have about 10 color chip books here from all the area paint dealers and brands.
They did just move one about 20 miles away but it's still silly to drive 40 miles round trip for $9 worth of paint!

Gary Anderson's paint is manufactured by Porter paint. He has his own line of paint and you can order it directly from him. We've tried it and it is really nice! He has brushes and some supplies too. His phone # (in Letterhead Mag.) is 812-332-2033. Anyone have his address? I know it have it here somewhere but the renovation here still has me saying, "where did I put that...."

We get our Porter paints from Rhino Paint Co. operated by Gary Anderson. He has specially mixed some deep colors that are not available in the stores. Our nearest outlet is Austin - 70 miles away.
With the shipping, a gallon runs about $35, depending on colors. There is no waste, since the paint does not skim over or get lumpy near the bottom of the can.
Gary has brushes, paints, roller covers, and a wide assortment of latex metallic paints.

Give him a call and tell him I sent you. Next summer I will be up there to visit him and he can cook me a great meal in exchange for selling his stuff. Just talking to Gary on the phone is worth the cost of the paint.
I have every color on his chart and I've never been disappointed with anything he sells. Signs are still looking new after five years of using his paint.
P.S. Just don't mention Frank Lloyd Wright unless you have a lot of time to listen.
