I just spoke again with Marty, She asked me to post and inform you of his situation:
He is still not home. He has had some setbacks and challenges, but, he continues to fight. He is still in ICU, and chances are he can return home Friday or Saturday. Also, those who have taken the time to send flowers, plants, and cards, she really appreciates them as will Si when he gets home.

Yeah, that Sheila is out of control in chat with all that running around pinching everyone on the bottom... sheesh... dodging her hardly gives us enough time to talk crap behind everyone's back, you know.
Get well soon, Si!

You are so right Adrienne! I hope Si knows how important he is to all of us in Letterville.
A few thoughts on my friend Si Allen. People come and go, but Si is always there. He's cranky, a little ruff around the edges, and loves to stir the pot. But there is one thing we can all agree on about Si. He loves Letterville and all of us.
Si is a true Letterhead. You may not see him in the pages of any sign magazine. He'll probally never write a book, or have a brush named after him. He knows more about the sign game than most, and Si is truly a signgod to many of us, but Si Allen is much more than just a painter of signs.
Thru thick and thin, you can always depend on Si to be here on the BB, in chat, and live meets. This Man is proud of his skills and always eager to share what he knows. He makes us laugh, opens his heart and home to all, and is always teaching.
I love Si Allen. He's the toughest guy I know. Watch him hobble around at live meets. His knees alone would keep a weaker Man at home. What an inspiration he is to those of us who also have health problems. Ever see the pain and effort it takes for Si to get up after sitting or kneeling while showing a new Letterhead how to letter a truck door? Talk about sheer gut power!
Come on Si! We need you. I need you. It's awful that it takes tough times like this to realize just how important someone is in our lives. I'm just not ready to even think about life without my hero Si Allen.
