LOL . . .but Dudettah . . . where's the blinking lights? I feel blinking lights would help draw more attention to this message as well as a mural of a bleeding hand being cut on metal with the requisite red circle/slash symbol. I would have included an automatic motion sensor that plays a verbal message for the blind . . .as you obviously can not put braille on such a sign . . .a laser beam would help prevent the deaf and blind from stumbling too close as well . . .and, as with pool fences, there should probably be a four foot high fence-surround with a maintenance gate which should be kept padlocked of course. Finally, I think landscaping is important even for signs so low to the ground (I would have raised it at least 2 feet) a nice bedding plant would work well here . . .

Sad, but is in today's world, you almost have to do that.

Makes me think of a story I heard or read a while ago.....

A man has a chain link fenced yard, big ugly dog behind fence, some stupid SOB walking by decides to try to pat the big ugly dog, dog bites stupid SOB, then stupid SOB sues home owner, they go to court, judge sides with stupid SOB, says owner of big ugly dog should of posted fence somethin to the effect of "warning, dog bites, stay away. How dumb can it get? Dog is in his own yard, owner of dog does everything in his power to keep dog where he belongs.

By the way, fence was set back from road 20+ feet, so stupid SOB makes a real effort to pat big ugly dog.

Go figure.....

No, you missed the point, If there were no sign, there'd be no sharp edges.

Rick,
I hate to burst your bubble, but that pic was posted at least a year or more ago by none other than Jon "Bushie" Butterworth and may have even been posted beforehand by someone else. It is kinda stupid though! [Smile]

Rick ... the sign I posted years ago is identical except for a bottom line of SMALL text ......

"ALSO THE BRIDGE AHEAD IS OUT"

Hence the two small pictograms of a person and a car.

Hence the need for the sign.

Wonder who altered the pic? They lost half the joke!

Another one was a sign on a wall that stated ...
"SIGNS PROHIBITED"

I spent some time in Guatemala some years ago and there were messages stenciled on walls in the city: "Do not urinate on the wall". At any given time there might be two or three guys taking a leak on the wall.

My mind wanders. And that's not a good thing, 'cause it's too small to be out there alone.
