Two eggs -or- two turkey sausage patties every day.
In the "winter", one serving of oatmeal with cinnamon and chopped apple added, and a cup of milk.
In the summer I go for cold cereal instead of the oatmeal, usually "All Bran" which is high in fiber and keeps hunger away. Then I have a banana for potassium so I won't get cramps while exercising in the heat.
Then I'm usually eating another piece of fruit around 9:30-10:00am which sustains me til lunch.

It's a revolving menu... Shredded Wheat,2 pillows, with hot milk, butter, fresh ground pepper & salt, or granola with a Local vanilla yogurt, with hand chopped COLD raw almonds, or slow oatmeal with same almonds, chopped fruit, brown sugar, butter and milk, or Canadian Side Bacon sandwich w/ egg or not,, or The Big One, omlette with stuff in it!, oh, I start thinking about breakfast the night before! Coffee, beans ground for it each day, along with apples, pears or oranges, grapefruit....When's Lunch?

2 egg omelet with mushrooms, cheese, green pepper (if I have it), 1 big sausage pattie, hashbrowns. Since I have been eating like this for a month, I have lost about 8 lbs. Doesn't sound like much but I haven't lost this much in 1.5 years.

Not into cereal too much these days but when I was it was Bran Flakes
On weekends it's more interesting.. A toasted French baguette with bacon, mushrooms, green peppers, tomato, motzza cheese.
I always eat breakfast these days..a lifetime of not eating breakfast or lunch cost me the price of becoming diabetic. (at least that is what the doctors have told me was the probable cause)
Oh..YES..at least 2 cups of coffee with breakfast.
AND if I am fortunate enough to be "down south"...GRITS!!!! With tons of pepper and butter!!!!!!!!!!

Although I really enjoy a big breakfast (as John can attest to...lol), I usually find it slows me down in the morning. Just the way my metabolism works, I guess.
I'm still tryiing to figure out why morning has to happen so bloody early.....

Today for breakfast, i had what Jon Aston had.
I follow my appetite and my energy level when it comes to eating, so I don't always eat breakfast at breakfast time.
For instance, it's 11:45 here. I came home from a Pilates class earlier (didn't want to fill my tummy before it) so I just finished a bowl of bran flakes, raisins, walnuts, dates and grapenuts topped with a scoop of vanilla yoghurt and dowsed with soy milk. That's gotta be my favourite weekday "fuel" breakfast. Today it was more like brunch tho.
Earlier this week I've been eating cookies left over from Thanksgiving, with coffee.
I really love things like omelettes (cheeze & tomato ... maybe alittle spinach or scallions, yum!) and Fried eggs w/ grits, bacon and bisquits or pancakes. I'll treat myself to that stuff every once in awhile when the mood hits me. Sometimes we'll fix breakfast stuff at dinner around here. Usually steak and eggs for that.

Ussually a ham and cheese omlete, French toast or egg sandwiches. I take a bloodpressure medicine so I have to eat.
I like hot foods, not into cereal either.
Steak and egg when I can afford it, Hot dogs when I'm strapped (luckily not recently).

Cherrios and milk with sliced banana, but when I do eat this, it doesn't hold me till lunch.
Better - scrambeled egg on ham, cheese in a bagel. Holds me beyond lunch.
Good too - open bun, ham, summer sausage, melted cheddar cheese on top.
On weekends, sometimes splurge on homemade pancakes loaded with fresh banana and blueberries. YUMMMMM!
Coffee - 2 cups in the AM. Recently started drinking decaf. I use to grind fresh beans, with a dash of cinnamon on the grinds, better coffee but I started getting too jittery. The cinnamon is delicious on the decaf too! Try it!
And I always carry fruit and water in my vehicle with me so I don't want to stop and munch on crap.

I like omeletes...but I just reciently found out I'm allergic to eggs and dairy. I'm really not a breakfast foods person anyway. Fruit is my 1st choice...somtimes made into a smoothie. I do like grits the same way Dave Grundy likes 'em...only the butter has to be Ghee (clairified) now. I also like Ezekiel bread toast. Nut butters are a good addition. I now drink my coffee with soy creamer...it's not bad.
