A small Airplane runs into trouble and has 6 passengers, and 5 parachutes.

The pilot is calm, though he knows he'll go down with the plane, and says to the passengers they'll have to figure out what to do about the shortfall.

Up steps Kobi and says - I'm so important a player I have to have one - he grabs it and jumps. Hillary steps up and says -I'm pretty important, too, a first former first lady, a senator and a future president - and grabs one and jumps. George W. steps up and says I am the most intelligent president we have ever had and I have to stay the course in the Iraq war that my father in heaven told me to fight, and he grabs and jumps.

Now we're left with a ten year old schoolgirl and a preacher who says to her: I've had a full and happy life, go ahead, grab the last one and jump. She says, there's no problem, we have two chutes left. The most intelligent president jumped with my book bag.

Sounds more like Kerry, if he thought that's what the people wanted that day.

Huh? If the 6 passengers included the pilot & there were only 5 parachutes & only 2 of the 3 who already jumped had chutes, then there should be 3 chutes remaining for those left on the plane. Now, if the pilot told them that he
was staying in the plane, what was there to discuss seeing that there were enough chutes for all? Or was there another passenger who wasn't mentioned?

But anyhow, you'd think they would've picked the lightest adult to hold the child and jump with 1 chute. And just think, that maybe George's fall may have been softened by colliding with one of the opened chutes, but dropping them both like
rocks anyway. Too much thought? [Dunno]

Oh P-lease.
You rewrite my joke, you analyze and label both it and me - shooting the messenger again - over a silly little joke.
---------------------------
If it did not offend me I would try that on Si's joke in return.Though it's already filled with labels.....stereotypes... and judgments there is always room for more.
------------------------------

The pilot insisted on going down with the plane. No Wimp he.
Big and tall Kobi would have been too heavy with the youngster and was way afraid of racial & other labels because the 10 year old was a white girl.
Hillary is old like me and overweight, and thought the preacher would hold her because he was a man of the cloth and a homosexual shrimp of a guy.
Little did she know he was really a psychopathic
misogynist who hated girls.

Besides, the kid weighed a ton because she was a couchpotato.
Geez.

OK. Let's call it even and get back to Letterville business. I personally see no value in any polititions. Have you seen their layouts? Show me a candidate that understands kerning and they got my vote.

I just posted the following under Si's post. To save time, I'll just cut and paste it here.

Just stopped in to change our clothes on the way to the hospital and look at this.

I'm aware this was posted as an attempt at humour, but we all have learned there is no homour when it comes to American politics. Sorry Si, but you know our feelings on this.

Not long ago, I was talking to one of our Letterhead pals via phone and politics came up. He actually talked about a new Civil War based on political beliefs. He was dead serious. Pretty scary stuff.

We're determined to see this sort of intolerance does not invade Letterville. I'm sure you have rules about your house guests defecating on your floors with no regard for other guests. It's no different here!

I'm going to lock this post and then head over to deal with the follow-up post by Myra. You know what hurts the most? It's always the same people. Most of these people are considered special friends. People we have spent time with in person or via phone. What's wrong with you people anyway?

Fair warning! I'm not going to tolerate this crap any longer. If you can't show a little respect for our rules or us, look for another Community more to your liking. That goes for you too Mom!

(weak attempt at humour}
