I skipped Chem all through high school, opting to take every physics class available to get all the science credits required to graduate..
Then I landed in college and couldn't escape it any longer... I remember the nutball professor very clearly.. He would speak to you but one eye was looking one direction (not at you at all) and the other eye in a different direction (not at you either) but his finger would be pointed to whomever he was speaking to.. and he had this nervous tick where he would flick his tongue like a snake and his head and neck would jerk and contort violently... on top of all that he had this trick where he would "drink" liquid nitrogen during his lectures.. actually he would slowly pour it from the container held high above his head and by the time it reached his mouth it would all be vaporized so only the heavier vapors would actually end up in his mouth.
He always said everything was some kind of chemical, so the day he locked his keys in his car at the bank making himself late for class, we had a good time teasing him about locking his chemicals in his chemical while stopping at the chemical to deposit some chemicals.
Damn I hated chemistry, I'd take physics over that stuff any day.

Nearly flunked chemistry in my junior year high school. Eeked out a D and have been making up for it ever since.
With all the substrates, cleaners, prepping chemicals, petrolium distillates, various paint materials, thinners, reducers, hardeners, clearcoatings, isocyanates, various adhesives, color matching and all the "mad chemist" stuff I've tried over the years, I should go back and see if they can change my grade.
If for no other reason than that I haven't blown myself to Kingdom Come...
