Our old sign is falling apart and its time to replace it. I got to tinkering and ended up with a new logo in the process.
Thoughts?
And a few weeks ago I had a window perf job to do for a client. This is what I did with the 56"x14" piece of scrap left over and applied to the lobby window next to the front door. I'll post an actual pic of it tomorrow.

Good idea for ya Glenn as it may work well for the kind of work Creative Graphics does Posted by Bruce Bowers (Member # 892) on :
I think if you toned the green down a pinch it would make "GRAPHICS" more legible. I would also wrap your purple stripes completely around the pole wrap.
I love the feel of the overall design. Very cool!

Like bruce says, maybe the green can become purple, otherwise it's perfect. Hey, how tall is that sign gonna be? Are those giant redwoods next to the sign?

Looks cool Glenn!

I like the whole structure. A little tweeking with minute details and you have a winner.

More like one of these two?
Posted by Glenn Taylor (Member # 162) on :
Alica, it'll probably be about 10' tall overall.
I've got a very limited budget to work with (if any) so I'll probably just build it out of MDO.
Anyhow, here is a pic of the window perf from both sides of the glass. When I took the pic from outside, the camera flash went off. I'm surprised how well the reflective ink on the black shirt hanging on the wall lit up.

The first one of the last two.... more legible, yet still cool.

The trees are bit too green for me.

I like them.

You put the wrong tree on the left - it should be on the right.
Other than that, I think it's first class. Very good representation of the work you do.

Really like what ya did just plain awesome only thing I saw was the Creative design logo needs be placed higher visually on panel then what would be more fun is to make the splash of color 3D or at least extend past panel

I liked the very first one. The green makes it pop!
Posted by Glenn Taylor (Member # 162) on :
Craig, you're absolutely right. I've bumped it up a little to make it balance better.
I just got through doing some tests on our front door. I'll post pics of what I did in the morning when I have some daylight. Its interesting how a few minor changes can make such a big difference.

They're all eye catching...I like them all...but like John said...the green really pops the best...Oh...and I would decorate those trees...Merry Christmas. Posted by Bob Sauls (Member # 11321) on :
Nicely done, Glenn.

Very nice Glenn, though I find myself focusing on the purple part below 'logo design'.

Rusty, next year I'm flying you down here to help with the Christmas decorations.
Thanks for all of the input folks. Its greatly appreciated.
Anyhoo....
Here is a before'n'after pic of the front door.
The boss felt that the logo without the oval background was missing something. Adding the oval seems to me to be a little flat and in need of some tweaking.
Any suggestions? Pro's & Con's?
Posted by Rusty Bradley (Member # 6938) on :
Wow..I'm not saying the old was bad...but the new is quite an improvement...I especially like the red splash without the confines of the oval...lookin good.

I like the first one the best. Posted by Duncan Wilkie (Member # 132) on :
That first one looks really nice. The oval kills it for me. By first one, I mean the first one of the new logo. One thing I would try. Make "GRAPHICS" smaller starting immediately to the right of the small red splash. It could be still justified right, just keep it away from the splash.

MDO? My first thought would be dibond, with an internal wood structure. Nicer overall finish and less fabrication and prep.
