Looks pretty spicy!
I always love to use a process blue pinline to make something pop, and this is the perfect place for it.
There is a lot of depth in this, lots to look at.
But it all works perfectly.
Love....Jill

Very nice Charles!! I just notice one of the "E" is different that the other is that part of the design? just wondering. But it does look bien Picante!!

Thanks Dennis and Sal!

Yeah the E is an alternate character but I think I am going to redraw it because it looks like a bird who got his beak stuck in the E. [Smile]

Beautiful...I actually would like would to see both "E"s with birds stuck in them...they would go with whatever is stuck in the "H"

I had to go back to see the bird stuck in the E.... it's always amazing what little things our own eye picks up in a design.

BTW, Nice work! [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Thanks]

Gosh! I love it. So many times I forget about doing staggarted lettering. And the design is also gonna alos look great in T-shirts. menus, mugs, food wrappers, plates, etc.

Fun design with great style Charles!
If I may pick your brain there are two things I am curious about.
First, is the reason the first E is altered and not the second due to it's proximity to the R. In other words are you balancing the added interest?
Secondly, the phrase Since 1971 is separated by a banner. I'm curious as to your decision to use two different fonts as it separates the relationship between the two even more. Is that something that you had to think twice about?
I'm not in any way critiquing the design, just trying to figure out the criteria for decision making on a great design.

Thanks Janette and Kelly. To be honest with you Kelly I just used the alternate E for no real reason. Maybe subconsciously I put it there to help the balance of CH and PE since they both carry a swash and it helps to balance out the design. As for the 1971 (which is my birth year) I did not like having the italic numbers going up hill so I used the other font instead. I always found layouts to be like a giant puzzle and the elements are just puzzle pieces that need to be switched around and manipulated to form a pleasing shape. I hope some of that made some sense.

Have a fun week,
Charles
