Just finished this one today. It's an early 70s Ford. A local fireman bought it used, very low miles, and it's his restoration project. I used Arthur Vanson's American Sans and a VectorArt scramble by Ed Kole. I kept it very simple. Done in SignGold Large Engine Turn, outlined with black 1-Shot. Man it was a pain to letter the front as there is a huge winch on the front bumper, maybe if this wench was boobless it woulda been easier. The garage I used was too small to get a shot of the whole truck. Love.....Jill

Jill,
A couple of questions...
Did you put down some HP vinyl and then put the sign gold over that or did you just put the sign gold straight on the truck?
Did you use edge seal or use the 1 shot black as your edge seal?
Finally - AWESOME JOB!
I don't know if you could have raised the hood up on the truck to a better position for you, but maybe next time that might work to alleviate the pain on the chest from the pump/winch

Brian, they did have the hood raised but I am too short! I had to squeeeeze in around that pump or whatever it is, sometimes working sideways and backwards....what a pain. Most of the time I was stooping with my butt sticking out! (that old diamond plate is ruff on the knees)
I stuck the SignGold right on the truck, except for black HP Calon II under the scramble, and I used an offset pinline outline on that part (with my fab AJ brush)
I know it's controversial, but I have never once edge sealed SignGold....I usually always just outline it with paint.
Thanks for the comments! Love......Jill

Really sweet Jill!
Nice layout.
I just love engine turned gold.
I also haven't ever edge sealed it either. Time will tell, but so far so good.
Did you get any Halushki for doing the job?
Peace out, Bob

Jill, Really nice. You ought to have an apron fabric printed with your signs (wearable portfolio) and wear it at work. All hardware personnel wear aprons, right?
