Hi All,
As you may know already...I really didn't mean to start making signs for anyone other than my own company...somehow I ended up making city seals for our fair city.

I don't know what I was thinking...I had to recreate this from scratch because no one at city hall had any color separations or even a good picture of it

Anyway...here it is...11 colors of vinyl (don't look too close

Well done Dee and welcome to Letterheads, you have come to the right place.

11 colors, wow, fun time with registration and layers, good job, hope you enjoy the work as much as we do.

Very nice! But you must mean your first sign of 2002...that's way too nice for a first ever vinyl sign!

Strange how so few towns and cities have proper artwork for their seals...Many small towns up here will give you an emboidered police patch to scan in as it's the only color "artwork" they have.

Funny! Our city had one version on city stationery, another version on department of public works vehicles and yet another version on the police vehicles... city hall was not aware of it and thought that everything was the same!

Nice looking sign for a first try. I could try to find my first sign and post it here, but I really don't want to make people ill.

Keep it up!

Alan, I have a photocopy of one of an embroidered police patch that's on my to-do list!!
And here I thought O was the only one who accepted this kinda stuff to remake a sign!!

Dee,

EXCELLENT job Sweetie!! Regestering 11 different colors is NOT supposed to be for "beginners"!! (You're holding out on us aren't ya)!!

Hi Guys...Thanks for the VERY kind words...by the way...what is a registration mark?

Just kidding...didn't use them for this....should have!!!

Ooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh myyyyyyy..........

11 colors and no registration marks? whew!! did ya use a light table?

OK... I might buy the "very first vinyl sign" deal (although difficult cause it looks pretty good!), but you never said anything about your signmaking experience.. you've been painting signs forever, right?

Hi,
Actually it was my first sign with the exception of about ten read only signs for my business.

I want to learn how to paint but I'm afraid that my hands are not steady enough.

Hubby told me this morning he was going to get me set up with an airbrush for my birthday.

I love making signs!!!!!

Hugs,
Dee

Please don't let that stop you from learning. You WILL learn how to make them steady enough to paint. Maybe not when you first pick up the brush, but it will come to you. Try it and see, I think you will be surprised at yourself. We want you to keep us updated though!

Welcome to Letterville! Nice seal! Now that had to take a lot of patience, and patience is just what it takes to start stroking. Feel encouraged!
I also was wondering about all those "registration" marks to deal with, as I had one that was not as complicated as that and it was tough. This is impressive.
