Nice work, Ken! Gotta question though for anybody who wants to throw their two cents into this.

Whenever I carve a sign, they always look so beautiful with the wood grain...I hate covering the grain up with paint (but of course, do).

Was just wondering if anybody else feels the same way when they throw paint on top of a freshly carved wood sign?

Dumb question, I know...but it was just on my mind.

The body of the sign is redwood, carved with a hand router, and a little biyt with chisels, painted and gilded 22k gold, the flower is 3 pieces of redwood cut out on the bandsaw and carved then pieced glued together and it actually mounted to the face in 3 layers so as to hide the screws
