Anyone know where I can get a font that looks like someone used a fat paint brush to write with?

The first thing that came to my mind was Fat Tony by Letterhead Fonts.com
Another company you may want to look at is www.thefontry.com a Letterville Merchant.

The "fonts" called FLAT BRUSH & CALLIGRAPHY sounds like what you have discribed

House Industries has a font called House Paint. I think they have some others also.
