The long and windy road seemed much longer than usual as we travelled home from Edmonton.
I'm sure glad I invested in four brand new winter tires for the truck as we encountered over 500 miles of snow and ice on the way home. With the fully loaded tool trailer it was a chore to keep the rig on the straight and narrow.
I was much more interested in getting home in one piece than getting home fast however, so it went quite well, although it did take two days instead of the usual one day's travel time.
As we pulled up in the long driveway Janis came running. I sure did miss her and I suspect she feels much the same way towards me!
I'm home at last! We unloaded what we had to from the trailer, took a quick walk through the well lit and heated new shop but little else.
It's time to kick back and relax a little!
The FKAB package is sitting there begging to be unwrapped and I was sorely tempted! But I think I will wait until tomorrow... there's other things I would rather do tonight
