A year and a half ago, I didn't even know how to turn this machine on and Letterville was only something I had heard about.....

Today I have finished putting together the results of more than a dozen Heads best efforts and the result is both beautiful and inspiring.

I would like to thank the following crazies who thought they would like a piece of my insane notion that this project could actually succeed.

Phil Ghi...Tech help, Digital print and paper pattern and rout block letters
Bill Riedel...Hotel pictoral (you can stop shaking your head now Bill [Wink] )
Shirley Carron...FKAB letters
Joe Abner...Brush and Gouge
Dan Sawatsky...Quill and Striper
Terry Whynott...Blue Ribbon and AOUT
Alan Ackerson...Dumb Bells
Chriss Elliot...QUEBEC...and keeper of my sanity!
Robert Beverly...Bottom Ribbon and 2003
Doug Allen...22,23,24
Janette Balogh...Flags
Mark Rogan...Sky painting and layout guru

[Applause] [Applause] [Applause]

Thanks also to Everwood for the HDU!
and
Peter Seep for 5 books of gold leaf donated in memory of Rick Glawson.
and
Steve and Barb....I vote for their re-election as "Heads" of Letterville! [Wink]

WHEW!!!! Now it's time to pack for FKAB!

Thanks Everyone....It's been a "Trip"! Oh, that's right.....the trip is just beginning. Looking foward to meeting everyone in QUEBEC!

[Thanks]

Joe,
Still, "Makin Chips and Havin Fun!" [Roll Eyes]

Thanks Joe Chisel!
I can't wait to see the final result and meet you in QC.
As I understand it, the project will go home with one lucky FKAB attendee? Or should we just 'donate' it to Monseir Tardiff?

Thanks Joe C. and Bill Reidell for taking the time out to teach me the skills needed to do my small part.

The Letterhead Spirit is alive and well! [Applause]

Thank you Joe, it was a great idea & I am glad that I took the leap to be a part of it.

I recognize the potential shipping issues, but I still vote to let all those who contributed in carving pieces of the panel be included in the drawing, even if we can't make it to Quebec

I agree with Doug on this one.

Since he helped out, he should be'in'.

Maybe there will be someone at the meet that lives near Doug and can it to him, should he be the lucky one.

Joe, an even bigger THANKS to you!! For taking on such a task, and putting up with all us slackers.

Can't wait to see the finished product.

It was fun! Challenging for a newbie, but fun! [Big Grin]

As always I'm sure it's the organizer of the event who did the bulk of the work.

I was pleased to have a small part in this cool project... and it whet my whistle for more carving and dimensional gold leaf work down the road.

I look forward to seeing pictures of the finished project!

In the beginning..........

It was my intention to gift the panel to our host Pierre. He said no, no, no! We will raffle it off to give it to an attendee. This was after I had agreed to give all the folks who worked on this a chance as well.

Puts me in a tough spot. [Dunno]

This puppy will have a tough time traveling by freight, but if team members who are not in QC, will agree to all packing and shipping costs, I'll try to convince Pierre to toss your name in the hat. Understand also that I will ship it from CT, and I won't be able to do it untill late Oct. That's the best I can do.....OK?

Chime in if you are still in.

Joe,
Makin Chips and Havin Fun!

Joe

I can only speak for myself by saying...heck...I will just let ya display it in your gallery until I personally come get it if it is awarded my way!... [Smile]

I would not want to take a chance with the shipping either!

This masterpiece will be raffled to ALL the peoples that worked on the project!

French Kiss A Brush will pay the first 100$ of the shipping cost!

We will try to have the draw on Head TV, stay tuned on the bullboard for details.

Good luck to everybody!!

Yeah...gotta give Joe 98.99% of the credit for making this thing happen. He REALLY deserves a BIG HAND! [Applause] [Applause] [Applause]

I'll take a 0.0005% share and everyone else can split the rest [Wink]

Now, I must tell you the BAD news [Frown]
I can't make the meet. I just can't swing it right now. I have a lot of folks mad at me already for being late with stuff [Mad] [Mad]
and I've only been in biz for 2 months!!! Not good! Bad rep will bury me for sure.

PLEASE take lots of pix and somebody set up a FKAB website where we can all look at 'em.

Have a GREAT TIME, everyone. Hopefully I'll make the next one.

Peace,
Mark [Dunno]

Well… er... um… everyone is thanking me and I just did the brush and gouge…. Go figure! [Eek!] [Eek!] [Eek!]

Seriously though, thank you Joe C. and Pierre for allowing this mere “mortal among sign carvers” to participate. It is inspiring to be associated with such a COOL project like this!

Good luck to all in the raffle. (Although I would prefer to see it end up on the east coast of USA [Cool] )

Hey Joe C., any chance of a sneak preview...?

Joe

Hey Mark!.....BUMMMMMMER!!!!! [Frown] [Frown]
I'll bring you back your "T" Shirt....I was looking foward to watchin some paint gettin slapped on your "48" buggy... [Frown] I also forgot to note that Mark painted and guilded the flag poles and posted those great pics for me on his website. Thanks again Mark!

Hey Joe, Remember, I'm technology challenged. [Wink]
I think Pierre said the unveiling will be at about 1:00pm on Fri. Check Head TV!

Did Pierre say that just the team members had a chance in the raffle? WOW! My odds have just improved!

Well, I still have a bunch of stuff to pack...Including a big suprise for the raffle, FKAB "Cuvee Speciale".....hiccup [Big Grin]

Quebec......here we come! [Smile]

Joe,
Makin Chips and Havin Fun!

I have to mention here that Pam Edmonds, of Kruger Signs in Cobden, helped with my part.

She showed up here to get in on the logo & ended up doing the bevelling on the letters, one Saturday morning while my crew & I worked on a cattle trailer.

We both primed & painted and both guilded.
She will be in Quebec with us.Yeah!

Thanks Pam!
